Kirkman’s 60-90 Vitamin D-3 provides 4000 IU of vitamin D. This serving size also meets the safe upper limits for vitamin D-3 daily intake recommended by the Institute of Medicine. Vitamin D is beneficial for bone health and recent studies have shown its promise in many other areas of health including geriatrics. It is recommended that a laboratory test is done several months after beginning supplementation with vitamin D to check on whether the desired vitamin D levels have been achieved.
