This naturally occurring derivative of linoleic acid is an omega-6 fatty acid with unique physiological effects on fat metabolism and the immune system. These effects are quite different from those of linoleic acid and in fact may provide a natural counterbalance to the potentially harmful actions of too much linoleic acid. CLA exerts antioxidant-like activity that helps keep excessive cell proliferation in check. It also exerts a favorable effect on the way the body burns and stores fat. Contains 78% total CLA with a minimum concentration of 74% biologically active isomers most commonly associated with physiological effect. Vitamin E and natural caramel added to the softgel help maintain freshness by protecting against lipid oxidation.
