Foods containing at least 0.65 grams per serving of plant sterol esters, eaten twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 1.3 grams, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.
As a dietary supplement, take 2 softgels twice daily with meals.

Caution
Orally, Beta-Sitosterol is usually well tolerated. In some individuals, it can cause minor GI upset. Taking Beta-Sitosterol can exacerbate sitosterolemia, a rare inherited lipid storage disease. Plant Sterols may interact with Zetia (ezetimibe) and statin medications. If you are taking these or other prescription medications, or if you have other health conditions, consult your healthcare practitioner before using this product.
